Fantards, fantards, fantards... Oh boy, so many people always have to bring up that someone that a lot of people know and/or of is in their fandom, and my question is... Who honestly cares? I mean, it's just another human being like you or me only... more people like them. "O-oh well, Tobuscus and PewDiePie are bronies so-" Yeah, no. Even if you did like them, wouldn't it seem silly to just follow along like a sheep and like something just because someone you know or know of and like, likes something? I mean, opinions vary, that's part of what makes us all different. Even if you like someone, you do not need to share the same interests, and telling someone that they do because they like someone who does is just plain silly. As well trying to defend your fandom with how this person is popular just seems pathetic and irrelevant overall, example being... "This guy cured a disease! An is a part of my fandom! So you can't hate my fandom!" ...But how does this really transpire into your fandom? Just because someone did something great, doesn't mean it always has to do with your fandom. Liking something doesn't do anything but show an opinion, it doesn't cure diseases, it doesn't do amazing things or guarantee that you'll be an amazing person in any way. How did the person do such a good deed or whatnot? By their own means, not by joining a fanclub.
The point here is, is that just because someone likes something and is popular or did something amazing in any way, doesn't make the fandom even slightly responsible for that person's actions.
